MONITOR

INFORMATION

The monitor delay on your bots can be quite confusing to understand at first but it is actually a very simple feature. Most bots will use milliseconds instead of seconds, this gives the user more control over just seconds and is the norm is basically all bots.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Essentially, whatever your monitor delay is set to, is how long the bot will wait in-between each time it sends a request to the site you are botting to check if stock is loaded. Now the actual use of the monitor delay differs from site to site but the concept is the same.

Lets say you set your monitor delay to 3000ms. Every 3 seconds each task will check the site. Now you may be asking how do I know what delay to use? Well, we have a guide for most bottable sites which explains the recommended delay for each but we will next explain the reasoning behind different delays for different sites.

Lets take Shopify for example, and this example pertains to most sites. When botting you do not want too low of a delay, lets say your delay is 500ms. Every 500 milliseconds each task will send a request. Which is a-lot of requests. Most sites will pick up on this and see that you are using a bot because of how fast you are sending requests, that is why it is best practice to use delays that sort of mimic a human. Again, this differs from site to site but the idea behind it is, you don't want too low of a delay to the point the site picks up on it and rate limits you, and you don't want too high of a delay to the point where your bot may not pick up stock in time.
